Comments

The deed on Weston, CT Deed Book 21, page 637 names Charles Wicks of Wilton, Fairfield Co. for himself and and parent and guardian to his children Emele Wicks, William G. Wicks, Mary E. Wicks, and George M. Wicks minors under age 21 as the grantor. The description of the land is for the same tract of land as in the deed in book 21, page 355. In addition, it is mentioned that there is no incumbrance on the land, except the life estate of Sally Osborn, widow of Seth Osborn, dec'd. This deed proves that Harriet Osborn who married Charles Wicks was the daughter of Seth Osborn and that she had died by the date of the deed.

The grantee of these deeds was a Cyrus Osborn. No information has been found connecting Cyrus Osborn to any family, but it seems likely that Cyrus Osborn was also a child of Seth Osborn-8029.
