Isaac Osborn-8015's complete list of children is from The Settlers of the
Beekman Patent, Vol. 9, by Frank J. Doherty. Presumably the list of
children presented by Frank Doherty is from a certificate of removal of the
family from the Quaker Nine Partners Meeting in Dutchess Co., NY to the
Butternut Meeting in Otsego Co., NY. The Family History Library in Salt Lake
City does not have a copy of the original records of the Nine Partners
Meeting and the typed abstract of that the library has of those records is
missing a page, which is the page I believe the record of the certificate is
on.
The petition for probate of the estate of Isaac Osborn-8015 lists only
children Mariah Allen, Joseph L., Benjamin W., and Isaac Sidney, along with
their residences. As the petitions are supposed to mention all heirs of a
deceased person, this would indicate that Stephen I. and Jane died without
issue before their father. I believe that "Tilborn (or Lilborn)" listed by
Frank Doherty is not a child of Isaac's, but is son Joseph's middle name, as
Joseph's middle initial is "L.".
In regard to Isaac Osborn-8015's daughter Mariah, the probate petition gives
her married surname, but does not give her husband's given name. In the 1850
census records for Michigan (the petition gives her state of residence), I
found only the family of Joseph and Maria Allen with wife Maria of appropriate
age to be Isaac Osborn-8015's daughter. They had a son Lemuel who died
14 Oct 1901 in Carson City, Montcalm Co., MI and whose death certificate
gives his parents names as Joseph Allen and Maria Osborn.
