Comments

How is it known that William Osborn-835 is not the William Osborn who was married to Margaret Lyall? William Osborn-835 died in 1779 with will (Harford Co., MD Will Book 2, page 494) probated 27 Feb 1779. Strangely the will was not recorded until 1803. Anyway, William Osborn-835 names as legatees brother, sister, and cousins, but no wife and no children. We know that William Osborn who married Margaret Lyall had at least one child who survived past 1779, that being Ann Osborn[#2840] who married Baltzer Michael. Ann (Osborn-2840) Michael lived until 1834. If William Osborn-835 had been the father of Ann Osborn-2840, then she would certainly have been mentioned in William Osborn-835's will in place of the brother, sister, and cousins.
