John Osborn-5335 is known to have had son Isaac as on 16 Jul 1768 John Osborn of Amenia's son Isaac was bound out to Colbe Chamberlain(Settlers of the Beekman Patent, Vol. 9, p731). In the 1790, 1800, and 1820 censuses of Amenia, NY, a Nathan Osborn is enumerated near John Osborn-5335's son Isaac. It seems likely that this Nathan Osborn is also a son of John Osborn-5335.

Possibly Josiah Osborn of Southbury, CT (1790-1830 Southbury, CT censuses) is another son of John Osborn-5335. Josiah Osborn of Southbury is believed by others to be son Josiah of Jedediah Osborn-8534 of Suffolk Co., NY. I believe this is because of information in the biography of Alanson Osborn of Greene Co., IL, a grandson of Josiah Osborn of Southbury, CT. Alanson Osborn's biography states that his grandfather came from Long Island and was part of a large family of sons. I believe though that there is good reason to suspect that Josiah Osborn of Southbury, CT is son of John Osborn-5335 -- in 1816 Josiah Osborn sold a piece of property to Isaac Osborn of Amenia, Dutchess Co., NY. Could there still be a connection to Jedediah Osborn? Yes, indeed, as John Osborn-5335's wife Zerviah was a brother of Jedediah's!
