Comments

William Arthur Owen, in the article "Richard Osborn and Some of His Descendants", published in the New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, vol. 62, no. 4, gives a David Osborn born 1 Nov 1748 as one of the sons of Daniel Osborn-3232. This information has been distributed widely on the Internet. Unfortunately, the name David for this son is incorrect. There is no son David and the name of the son born 1 Nov 1748 is Daniel.

The Barbour Collection of Connecticut Vital Records by Barbour gives the name of Daniel and Sarah's son born 1 Nov 1748 in Ridgefield as Daniel. On 28 Jan 1778 Daniel (Jr.) married Jane Morehouse in the neighboring town of Redding. The Lenox, MA town records show that the following year Daniel and Jane had a daughter Tabitha. The 1790 Berkshire Co., MA census shows Daniel (Jr.) living near Josiah Osborn-7744, a known son of Daniel Osborn-3232.
