Comments

William Osborn-14227's parents are unknown, but would seem likely to be either John Osborn[#14248] or Benjamin Osborn[#14286] and wife Mary. Both John and Benjamin lived in the vicinity of Rock Creek. Rock Creek has been located within a number of jurisdictions over a period of time. Rock Creek is now within the District of Columbia. Before 1743 Rock Creek was within Prince George's Co., MD. In 1743 when Frederick Co. was created from the western portion of Prince George's Co., Rock Creek fell in the border area between the two counties. In 1776 when Montgomery Co. was created from the eastern portion of Frederick Co., Rock Creek fell in the border area between Montgomery and Prince George's Co. When the District of Columbia was created, parts of both Montgomery Co. and Prince George's Co. including the Rock Creek area were included as part of DC.
