Comments

The biography of John Osborn-1403's son Albert lists the living children (as of 1885) as Mary, Rachael, Jane, Harriet, Laura, Henrietta, Marcus L., John H., and Albert. With the exception of Albert, the identified children in this list are listed in birth order. The 1850 census for Trumbull Co., OH shows John Osborn-1403's children as Harriet, 18; Albert, 14; Laura, 12; Henrietta, 10; Isabella, 7; Lafayette, 5; and John H., 4. As "Marcus L." is between Henrietta and John H. in the list in Albert Osborn's biography and "Lafayette" is between Henrietta and John H. in the census, Marcus L. must be Lafayette of the census -- i.e. Marcus L. is Marcus Lafayette.

Canfield Twp, Mahoning Co., OH cemetery records show three additional children of John Osborn-1403 buried in the Cornersburg Cem. -- Calvin, Milton, and Duncan.

Albert Osborn's biography also states there were a total of 14 children. Nancy Osborn is the 14th child. The final estate settlement in William Osborn-1404's estate papers shows that John Osborn-1403's share of the estate was divided into ten parts. Horace and Nancy (Osborn) Pew's children each received a 1/40 part of William Osborn-1404's estate -- a 1/4th part of a 1/10th part. None of the other shares of William Osborn-1404's estate was divided into tenths -- so Nancy Osborn must have been one of the children of John Osborn-1403.
