Comments

Elias Osborn-13235 lived at various times in Bradford, VT, Fairlee, VT and West Fairlee, VT, all adjoining towns, until at least 1840. His children's births are not recorded in the records of any of those towns. The attending midwife, Mrs. Lydia Baldwin of Orford, NH, did record Elias' children's births, but recorded only the sex of the children and the birthdates -- not their names.
Elias Osborn-13235 and his brother Lemuel Osborn-13233 had the only Osborn families in the vicinity though and Lemuel Osborn's children are known from other sources. So it seems very likely that the Osborns below were the children of Elias Osborn-13235.

Elias Orsborn
A deed recorded in West Fairlee, VT Deed Book 3, page 381 shows that Elias Osborn-13235's son Elias was known as both "Elias Jr." and as "Eli". Elias Jr. "Eli" moved to the town of Holland (probably after 1840) in Erie Co., NY. His gravestone, in the Hunter Creek Cem. in Holland, gives a death date of July 20, 1866 and an age at death of 56 years, 8 months, and 4 days. Subtracting the age from the death date gives a birth date of Nov. 16, 1809 -- matching the known birth date for Elias Osborn-13235's sixth child.
Leonard Osborn
From the 1850 census of Delaware Co., OH, we know that Leonard Osborn was born about 1804 in VT. He was married to Sarah McKellips on Aug. 30, 1826 in West Fairlee, VT and the marriage record gives his residence as West Fairlee. Elias Osborn-13235's family was the only Osborn family in West Fairlee at the time. After Leonard and Sarah McKellips married, they moved to the town of Holland in Erie Co., NY. Although Leonard and Sarah lived in Delaware Co., OH from before 1840 to after 1860, they had moved back to Holland, NY by 1870 when they are recorded in the census there. It should be noted that Elias Osborn Jr. also had lived in Holland, NY. The approximate birth year of 1804 in the census indicates that Leonard was Elias Osborn-13235's fourth child born 27 Oct 1804.
Maria Orsborn
Maria "Orsborn" married John McKillips on Dec. 23, 1821 in Bradford, Orange Co., VT. The marriage record gives her residence as Fairlee, VT. The census shows that in 1820 Elias Osborn-13235 had the only Osborn family in Fairlee.
Census records show John P. McKellips wife's name as Chloe. The death record for John and Chloe McKellips' daughter Lydia (in 1849) gives her mother's name as "Chloe M. McKellips". It seems likely that "Maria" and "Chloe M." are the same person with her full given name as "Chloe Maria". The 1860 census for Bradford, Orange Co., VT gives Chloe's age as 57, meaning that Chloe Maria Osborn was Elias osborn-13235's third child born Jan. 13, 1803.
