Comments

The death records of Mary Eliza (Osborn) Bancroft, Charlotte W. (Osborn) Wright, Emeline (Osborn) French, John T.M. Osborn and Frederick H.A. Osborn (as "F.H.A. Osborn") all indicate that they are children of Wyman Osborn.

Fanny Osborn is enumerated with Wyman and Mary Osborn in the 1850 census. Wyman's son Charles W. died as an infant and is buried in the Granary Burying Ground in Boston, MA. "Gravestone Inscriptions and Records of Tomb Burials in the Granary Burying Ground, Boston, Mass.", originally published by the Essex Institute in 1918, provides information that Charles W. Osborn was son of Wyman Osborn.

I have not located any death record for Matilda (Osborn) Bancroft or any other record which might directly show that she is daughter of Wyman Osborn. Her marriage record to John Bancroft does show her surname as Osborn and very intestingly John and Matilda (Osborn) Bancroft are enumerated with Thomas and Mary E. (Osborn) Bancroft in both the 1850 and 1860 censuses in Boston, indicating a high probability that Matilda is Mary Eliza's sister and Wyman Osborn's daughter.

Mary Eliza (Osborn) Bancroft's death record gives her married name, but does not give her husband's given name. I have not located any marriage record for Mary Eliza Osborn to Thomas Bancroft, but their son Thomas J. Bancroft's death record does give both his mother's name Mary E. Osborn and father's name Thomas Bancroft.
