     The marriage of Mr. Matt Murphy and Miss Maggie Neiless of this place,
was solemnized yesterday by Rev. Father Collins at St. Patrick's church in
the presence of a number of friends of both parties.  The bride was attended
by Miss Anna Cavenaugh and the groom by Mr. P. Cuddy.  At the close of the
ceremony many congratulations were exchanged, and the happy couple were the
recipients of a number of elegant and useful presents.

Henry D. Murphy, Veteran Telegrapher, Dies at Age 66
     Henry D. Murphy, veteran telegrapher, who tapped out thousands of mes-
sages for Bellingham people during the past 40 years, died Thursday at a
local hospital at the age of 66.
     A long-time employe of the Postal Telegraph Company and later with
Western Union, he was a member of the Church of the Assumption.
     Surviving are the widow, Ruby, at the family home, 1211 Indian street;
two sisters, Mrs. Margaret McLain, of Granite Falls and Mrs. Gertrude Bour-
gette, of Arlington, and several nieces and nephews.
     Rosary will be said Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bingham, Dahlquist &
Jerns funeral home and final rites will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. within
the Church of the Assumption.

MURPHY

 -- Henry D. Murphy, age 66, of 1211 Indian Street, passed away
in a local hospital Thursday, June 21, after a short illness.  Mr. Murphy
had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 40 years and was a Tele-
graph operator at Western Union and a member of the Church of the Assump-
tion.  Surviving relatives include his wife, Ruby, at home;  two sisters,
Mrs. Margaret McLain, of Granite Falls, and Mrs. Gertrude Bourgette, of
Arlington.  Several nieces and nephews.  Rosary will be said Friday, June
22, 7:30 p.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns
Funeral Home.  Requiem Mass will be Saturday, June 23, at 9:30 a.m. within
the Church of the Assumption.  Arrangements are under the direction of the
Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home.

MURPHY

 -- Mrs. Margaret Murphy, aged 57 years, wife of Mr. Matthew T.
Murphy, died August 11 at the family residence, 1518 Franklin street.  Mrs.
Murphy was in usual good health thirty minutes before she died.  She had
been a resident of Bellingham for the past fourteen years, and is survived
by husband, five children and two sisters.  Mr. Murphy, at the time of Mrs.
Murphy's death, was working at Union Bay, B.C.  Henry Murphy, of Bellingham;
Ernest of Saskatoon, Sask.;  Margaret and Gertrude, of Bellingham, and
Ambrose Murphy, of Bellingham; one sister, Mrs. Winifred Dailey, of Belling-
ham, and Mrs. Nellie Harris, of Liverpool, Eng., survive her.  Mrs. Murphy
was a member of the Church of the Assumption, of this city, where the ser-
vices will be held.  Announcement to be made later.  The remains are being
cared for by Undertaker Harry O. Bingham, 1319 Dock street.

MURPHY

 -- The funeral service for Mrs. Margaret Murphy, who died
August 11, at the family residence, 1518 Franklin street, will be held Tues-
day, August 15, at 2 o'clock p.m. from the Church of the Assumption, of
which Mrs. Murphy was a member, Rev. Father L.W. Ferland officiating.  Mrs.
Murphy has been a resident of Bellingham for the past fourteen years, and
is survived by husband, Matthew T. Murphy, and five children, besides a
large circle of friends and acquaintances to mourn her loss.  Interment will
be made in Bay View cemetery under the direction of Undertaker Harry O.
Bingham, 1319 Dock street.  The funeral car will leave the corner of Hum-
boldt and Champion streets at 1:30 o'clock conveying the remains, family
and friends to the church in time for the service.

Marysville, Feb. 7. -- Mathew Murphy, 75, died Sunday at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. J.M. McLain, in Marysville.  Funeral services will be held
Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Catholic church.  Interment will be in
the Catholic cemetary under direction of the Marysville Undertaking company.
Mr. Murphy is survived by two daughters, Mrs. McLain and Mrs. Ralph Bourgette,
both of Marysville, and two sons, Henry D. Murphy of Bellingham and Mathew A.
Murphy of Seattle.
