In the name of God Amen I Joseph Reading of Scott County ... the State of
Kentucky being of sound and disposing mind ... Judgment do make and ordain
this my last will and Testament in the manner and form following to wit.
I give to my well beloved wife Martha Ann Redding all my real and personal
Estate of every description during her life and after her death in the
following manner. I give to Lettece Osbourn heirs of her body, Sarah
Suggett, Susannah Piatt, Elizabeth Osburn heirs of her body and Anna Adair,
Elijah + ... his daughter Purmelia all my landed estate but it is to be
understood that my daughter Lettece Osbourn's heirs is only to ahve a
childs part among them + that my son ... Elijah and Granddaughter Purmelia
a childs part between them. I give all my personal Estate after my death
+ wife to be sold by my Executor and divided to wit, Lettece Osbourn heirs
of her body a childs part with my daughters Sarah Suggett,, Susannah Piatt,
Elizabeth Osbourn, Ann Ader, Elijah Redding ... daughter Purmila, Joseph
Redding. But it is also to be understood that my son Elijah and my
daughter Parmelia ... is to have a childs part equally between them ...
do appoint my wife my sole Executrix so long ... and after her death but it
is my will that my son Joseph ... Executer of this my last will and
Testament ... In witness
foregoing Instrument of writing
proved to be the last will + Testament
by the oaths of Joseph Elgin + William
Subscribing witnesses and therupon Joseph Redding
took the oath and enterd bonds as the law directs
Excutorship of Said will was granted him in due

Joseph Elgin are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky
in the sum of Two thousand dollars current money to be paid to the Said

our heirs Exors + admrs Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents
